Blog
During our weekly brokerage meeting, we talked about recent open house events, what worked, and what didn’t. I’ll address that issue in a separate blog. What I want to cover is something that is far too often overlooked by real estate agents today. Namely, the impression you give your clients as well as others around you when you are out and about professionally.
I heard several agents mention that it was hard to tell the difference between a buyer and his/her agent. Agents would often show up to open house events in jeans, and shorts, wearing flip flops or sneakers. In case you haven’t noticed, real estate agents generally have a bad wrap in far too many people’s minds. In my opinion, not dressing professionally simply confirms other people’s negative opinions of our industry.
Whenever you meet with a client whether or not it’s your first time, you always have another opportunity to make a positive first impression. If you want to be viewed and treated like a professional, then you should always dress the part of a professional. Doing so projects the message that you not only respect yourself but also your profession.
In that same vein, making a positive first impression with new clients is critical to converting them and sets the stage for your working relationship. As such, make sure that all of your marketing materials look professional and are branded throughout. The first thing you should present a new client with is a Realtor New Client Pack.
The New Client Pack is a multi-page introduction letter of sorts. This packet should consist mainly of information about you, your brokerage, your team, and your services. It should definitely answer the question “why would I choose you?”. Tell them, they are not just getting you but an entire group of professionals working together on their behalf. So, make sure to include the title company, your broker, transaction coordinator, and anyone else, even if you’re a single agent and not part of a team.
Each of our real estate templates is designed professionally for you, so that part is taken care of. All you have to do is make it your own and print it. Some real estate agents choose to place the pages in a folder, others choose to take the file to an office supply store and have them print it as a multi-page brochure.
However, another option is to convert your new client pack into an online flipbook. Then you can include the URL in all of your online marketing and as part of your email signature.
Using professionally designed marketing materials can help elevate a client’s view of you as a professional. As you can see, our New Client Pack is uniform in style, color, and font. As with all of our templates, you can easily edit this pack in CANVA. You can keep the current text or replace it. Add your own logo, contact information, branding, and images too.
