Email Marketing Strategy Today Draw More Business Tomorrow

As we round up 2022, now is a good time to do all you can to finish the year strong and set you up for new business going into the new year. Sometimes the simplist of things have the biggest impact. That's what I'm going to introduce to you here. A quick email marketing strategy that will help you reconnect with your past clients and likely result in new referral business too!

November is here...Moreover, you are aware of the fact that 2022 is coming to an end. While I suppose that is something to be proud of after the year that has passed, it can also be a time of panic for many as we look for ways to end the year strongly and in a good position to begin 2023.

If I could give you any advice, it would be to find a genuine way to reconnect as we approach the holidays. Christmas is wonderful, but it can also be crowded, and your standard email or card will probably get lost among the crowd.

Doing things the same old way, just isn't good enough. You have to do more! Use the fun marketing campaign and get a jump on your efforts to finish 2022 strong with more meaningful conversations and rekindle relationships that will send you referrals and new business into the new year.

Thanksgiving Day Pie Giveaway

This is an easy-to-implement holiday marketing strategy that gets you talking to people right away, gets you back in touch with your sphere of influence, and generates new referral business like gangbusters.

The concept is a simple one. Offer your past clients a free Thanksgiving Day (or Christmas Day) pie. It's a great way to reconnect with old clients you haven't spoken to in a while.

Simply put, you send out a bulk invitation to your past clients a free Thanksgiving Day pie to show your appreciation for their business.  You set a date when they can pick up their pies at your office location. This gives you a great opportunity to reconnect with each client. At the end of the day, you'll leave feeling really great and possibly  with one or two referrals to boot. 

Sam Amine from Union Home Mortgage in Michigan has been doing this for years. He swears that this is the best marketing he's ever used and it consistently results in new business throughout the following year.

Make It An Office Event

The easiest method of running this event is to get a few of the other agents in your office on board. Coordinate with your fellow agents and work together to order the pies, who will pick up the pies and have everyone participate at the office as each client walks in the door. With a group of people there, things will liven up quickly. 

You could also set up a coffee and hot chocolate or apple cider station too! Give out a can of whipped cream with each pie. Collaborate together to make it a fun event year after year.

 

Flying Solo

This campaign is simple enough to go solo if you choose. You could choose to have them pick up at your house or deliver each pie yourself. I suggest you make sure that someone is home to receive delivery.

STEP ONE

Create your email marketing campaign and include a link to a contact form where they can choose which a pie (I offer pumpkin and apple) and indicate a general time they will pick it up at your office.  Here's what my form looks like.

Using Real Leads Finder Pro automations, makes this super easy. My automation sends out my invitation via email and text messaging with a link to a form.

Each time the form is filled out, I receive an internal notification letting me know who ordered what and when to expect them. Then a confirmation text and email is sent to each client who ordered a pie followed by another reminder two days and again 24 hours and again the morning of the event. Done!

STEP TWO

Send out invitation via bulk email and text messages to each of your past clients. If there is time, you could also follow-up with a note card in the mail.

STEP THREE

Send out confirmation email and text messages to those who have responded. This is generally around 10% but will grow year after year.  Remember, even if just one client sends you new referral business, it's well worth your time and effort.

STEP FOUR

Design and print out Avery labels to place on each pie so that their family and friends will take note that it came from you. I quickly and easily designed mine using CANVA.

STEP FIVE

An important part of your marketing campaign should include sending out reminder texts and emails 24-48 hours prior to the event and another reminder the morning of the event. Text message is generally more effective.

STEP SIX

Order your pies about a week ahead of time then pick them up 24 to 48 hours prior to the event. I use Costco pies because of their size (14 inch) and they are really good. You could also use this opportunity to support your local bakery.

STEP SEVEN

Send in the morning, the day after Thanksgiving Day a follow-up email or give them a call and ask them if they enjoyed their pie. Be sure to remind them that you are ready to help their family and friends with their real estate needs. Follow-up with a Thank You card.

Conclusion

This campaign is derived from By Referrals Only. Even if you only give out five pies, this is still worth it! Make it a yearly tradition and your response rate will grow alongside the new referrals that come your way throughout the following year.
